Sprinkled Granola Bites
It’s time. It’s THAT time. It’s Back to School. The kids gotta get up early. The pin boards are LIT. No really, there’s so many friggin’ pin boards out there on the internet.
What’s the one thing that was put in your lunch as a kid that you were just like “meh” 100% of the time? Granola bars. What’s left in the pantry to throw in? Groan. Woof.
I’ve actually never made granola until now. Small victories people. If it’s a no bake recipe, I’m totally down to party. Let’s stop giving granola a bad name for the kids, and even for yourselves. Make. These. Now.
PLOT TWIST - They’ve got sprinkles. Who doesn’t love sprinkles?! I don’t have kids, but I DO have plants. But this plant momma needs some on-the-go boosts for breakfast. That’s showbiz baby.
Ingredients: 1/2 C PB, 1/2 T Coconut Oil, 3 T Honey, 1 T Almond Extract, 1/2 t Cinnamon, 1/3 C Flaxseed Meal, 1 T Chia Seeds, 1/2 C Bobs Red Mill Steel Cut Oats, 1/3 C Almond Shavings, 1/2 C Sprinkle Mix, 1/2 C Rice Cereal
Instructions: Add PB, coconut oil, honey and almond extract to medium heat pan until mixed and creamy. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients into loaf pan lined with parchment. Press in extra sprinkles on top. Melt 1/2 C chocolate chips with coconut oil and pour over granola. Add more almonds. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Cut and enjoy!
