All fears, no matter how big or small, are worse when we face them alone. The last couple days, I asked around the world, "What's your biggest fear?" And as I read all your responses, I found it really interesting how many of us are afraid of very similar things. And though some may be different, our reactions to fear are usually the same – our hearts race, palms sweat, and we would do anything just to make the feeling go away. How many times do you retreat back to your comfort zone because you're afraid of failure, or getting heartbroken, or facing the unknown?
Fear is not a bad thing. It exists for our protection as an early warning signal. But there is a big difference between the Healthy Fear - the one that tells us to step away from the edge of a cliff to prevent from falling and a Constant Fear that keeps us from living our life.
I don't know about you but I could relate to MANY of your fears. I also shared with you some of my fears(many of which others mentioned): Losing my family, not making it home on time if something bad happens(while living far away), not fulfilling my purpose, having so much love to give but falling into another toxic, emotionally abusive relationship. -
When I read your responses to: "What's one thing you really want to do that you haven't done because fear is holding you back?"
I loved hearing your stories of how you're overcoming and even just taking the smallest step forward is a sign of progress.
We're really not alone in our fears. Thanks everyone for responding, opening up and sharing. Even those who I never met - it's been such a beautiful experience reading your emails and connecting through your responses.
Facing your fears is a process.
Anytime you feel fear, instead of ignoring it or trying to run from it, acknowledge it and identify what is behind it. Understanding why it has arisen is the first step in eliminating it.
Don't be afraid to ask for help if you feel fear and anxiety are taking over your life.
What's that one thing you always wanted to do but haven't yet?
Feel free to SHARE your FEAR below - together we can overcome.
Take care of yourselves❤
