🧀 We think bring real EXTRA on the the trail is a GOUDA decision! Yes, we made a cheese & charcuterie plate for lunch at Panorama Point!
We got the idea because we always take hard cheese, nuts, salami, and dried fruit on hikes anyway, so we decided to take it a step further! Check our stories for all the ingredients, featuring local California cheese from @vintagecheesecompany & accoutrements from @traderjoes.
& yes, some fellow hikers found us enjoying our cheese plate on the trail & made fun of us, but we could tell they were totally jealous. 😁 If you try making a #hikingcheeseplate , tag us because we want to see it! Just remember to pack in & pack out!
Note on Panorama Point: this incredible view is unmarked & off the trail. You’ll want to look for a trail offshoot to the left, about half a mile from Illiouette Creek. I think only about 5% of Panorama hikers know this spot exists!
