"After a long drive, I arrived at the Majestic Trembesi Tree Forest in De Djawatan. With the hum of chants from the nearby mosques echoing through the woods and the sound of Java Sparrows singing in the treetop canopies, this palace was pure magic. With light fading fast, I noticed a few local kids riding their scooters, so I took the opportunity to quickly snap this photo." 📷 @kylevollaers 📍East Java, Indonesia 🇮🇩 #passionpassport

Welcome to Egypt—our latest travel guide! From the ethereal and enigmatic aspects of its ancient history to the fervor of its modern society, Egypt has commanded the attention of the world for thousands of years. Foreign contemporaries of the early pharaohs stood in the same dumbstruck wonder at the pyramids as tourists do today, and painstaking conservation efforts make this likely to happen for many more years to come. The legendary nature of this society, combined with its size, diversity, and unique location straddling the Middle East and North Africa, make it one of the more dynamic destinations in the world. Whether you’re looking for a luxury holiday, a deep immersion into history, some photo inspiration, or a slow travel experience spent amongst the people, you can find it here. "Once a king's apartment, now a monastery — Shwenandaw is a historic Buddhist monastery located near Mandalay Hill and is one of the only surviving relics of Mandalay's royal period. It was my favorite monastery in Myanmar due to the detail in which it was carved Burmese-style out of teak wood and covered in parts by gold leaf. We went to see if it was indeed as unique as everyone said it was. And even with the crazy heat and harsh sun, it did live up its name." 📷 @fishmonkeycow 📍Mandalay, Myanmar 🇲🇲 #passionpassport

“It was evening by the time we made our way to the top of this mountain in North Ossetia. And with no expectation for the sunset, this is what we found—a foggy and cloudy scene. It wasn't until I put my drone in the air that I could get a larger sense of the tranquil beauty that surrounded us.” 🎥 @alex.mazurov 📍North Ossetia, Alania #passionpassportvideo #passionpassport

"Squamish is known for its population of bald eagles, so we decided to go see for ourselves when we visited Vancouver. Unfortunately for us that day happened to be right in the middle of a severe winter blizzard. We parked our car, walked towards the forest, and waited. After spending nearly an hour sitting by the river in -11C under the snow and almost giving up, we saw something move in the tree right near us: a majestic Bald Eagle, blending in — the one and only we got to see, well worth the wait, a true King in the North." 📷 @oftwolands 📍Squamish, BC, Canada 🇨🇦 #passionpassport

"I was on assignment to capture wildlife in Tanzania. This was my first wildlife experience, and I was excited to see lions and cheetahs — the incredible speed of these animals — with my own eyes. I was definitely fearful knowing I was in nature's territory, witnessing the extreme way of life the animals lead. When I saw the crowd of hippos, I already had the vision of an aerial perspective in my mind, my own unique angle to capture the wild." 📷 @zekedrone 📍Tanzania 🇹🇿 #passionpassport

"Basilica of Santa Luzia (inspired by the famous Basilica of Sacré Coeur of Montmartre) is located on the highest point of Viana do Castelo in northern Portugal. It was an early sunrise hour on a warm spring morning in May. The mist was covering the Basilica at first light, but just moments later began to clear. The sky started to paint an artwork of smooth colors, presenting us with this view, if only for a few minutes." 📷 @vitor.esteves 📍Viana do Castelo, Portugal 🇵🇹 #passionpassport

This week's #PPSummerPostcard winner is @annetachado ! Join us in sending her a big congratulations! Grottole, Italy fits to what you would expect an Italian town to be. Idyllic, with houses decorated with pots of flowers, winding cobblestones, and streets filled with aromas of homemade food. Living here this summer allowed me to have further insight into what these images present. That, beyond this picturesque scenery, is a town filled with soulful people, each with distinct stories and characters. We're also sending a big thank you to everyone who entered and to this week's guest judges — @alongdustyroads , @scwilder , and @quintner ! "The ancient city of Khiva is very different from other cities in Uzbekistan. Much smaller, it feels like a museum city surrounded by a giant fort wall. The whole city is yellow with narrow streets, alleyways, and blue mosaics. I loved getting lost in this sandcastle maze of streets and exploring the many bazaars until sunset when the city cools off, falls silent, and the final rays of light melt away, changing the color of Khiva from yellow to orange." 📷 @leonardfong_travel 📍Khiva, Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 #passionpassport

“After driving many hours and a cold night spent in the car with my dog and a friend of mine, we were greeted by one of the most beautiful sunrises I have ever witnessed in Alpe di Siusi. The moment the sun came out, its rays of light and warmth immediately washed away any remnants of exhaustion from the day before. For me, the mountains offer a level of uniqueness. They’re hard to get to, easy to get lost in thought, hard to leave, and yet so easy to love.”⛰ What travel story do you have to tell? “During my trip to Palma, which has some of the finest modernist architecture, I kept revisting this narrow street to see these two impressive, distinctive buildings in different light. Edifici Casasayas might be difficult to photograph in its entirety, but it certainly impresses you in reality.” 📷 @bmseventh 📍Palma de Mallorca, Spain 🇪🇸 #passionpassport

"After waiting out a storm, we walked out onto the beach to be greeted by this incredible sunset. It was our first time together in Slovenia, the first day of a week-long road trip, and a reward after a 7-hour car ride. The smell of salt and fresh air right after a storm...it was a beautiful moment for the both of us." 📷 @tntjukebox 📍Piran, Slovenia 🇸🇮 #passionpassport

An icy wind pounded the seashore as the buzz of seagulls could be heard overhead. We had spent the entire morning making our way up to some of the most iconic cliffs of France—Les Falaises d'Etretat. This was our first time seeing the true scale of this place for ourselves, leaving us completely in awe. Throughout our adventure, we made sure to capture a few moments that encapsulated the sheer beauty of this place. 🎥 @kylevollaers 📍Étretat, France 🇫🇷 #passionpassportvideo #passionpassport

"Visiting Oman has long been a dream of mine, and this year, it came true. I arrived at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque one early morning and marveled at the magnificent structure of the main dome adorned with blue-green mosaics and large chandeliers. But it was a walkway away from the main mosque that stopped me in my tracks. The stunning arches seemed to go on for eternity, their beautiful shape reflected in the polished marble. A type of serenity that's not easy to find in the modern world has claimed this spot as its home." 📷 @insearchofperfect 📍Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Muscat, Oman 🇴🇲 #passionpassport

"After a heavy downpour that morning, we worked up the courage to explore the charming cobblestone streets of Cuenca. The atmosphere was fresh and, as we walked, we watched the locals pick up the pace on their daily activities: unloading young coconuts from trucks, arranging books on stands, pulling bread out of deliciously scented ovens, selling strawberries and cherries from wheelbarrows, and chatting leisurely on benches in lush green park squares. Right behind the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, we found this small flower market bursting with movement and enveloped in the most alluring rose perfume. We instantly felt like we landed in a secret haven with heaps of rose-petal crates adorning the vendor tables, sunflower bouquets being meticulously wrapped, and vibrant colors flooding all our senses." 📷 @rhymeswithcoffee 📍Cuenca, Ecuador 🇪🇨 #passionpassport

"The weather in Chamonix was not on our side for the first few days. We had planned our hike but kept on postponing. Finally, there was a glimmer of promise in the forecast, and we made the decision to take our chances and trek up to Lac Blanc where we camped for the night. After a restful sleep, we woke up and were rewarded with one of our most unforgettable mornings in the French Alps; our gamble (and patience) paid off." 📷 @rodtrvn 📍Chamonix, France 🇫🇷 #passionpassport

"I live in Vienna, and I always enjoy exploring and seeking new perspectives of my own city. It was only my second time visiting city hall, and how lucky I was to be at the right place at the right time. I was just wandering around admiring the impressive architecture when I came across this view of hundreds of tables set up for a chess tournament. It looked spectacular and seemed surreal. Have you ever seen anything like it?" 📷 @seplb 📍Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹 #passionpassport

Magnificent Egyptian temples can be found up and down the country and all along the winding Nile. With that in mind, we’ve put together a comprehensive guide to the best of them—just for you!
