Our South Africa trip was a great accomplishment! Paul and Ryan met with Door of Hope and Khaya Centre. While spending time at the charities, they helped feed over 1,000 hungry children and gave a donation to show support. They also gave Wayne Pinkston's "Corona Night Sky" which will be displayed in the Khaya Centre “Trauma Room” and helps give peace to the abused girls passing through, on their way to recovery. Paul and Ryan stayed at the 5-star Jock Safari Lodge and for the remainder of their time, explored Kruger National Park on Safari. The two got some amazing new shots to bring in funds for these charities. We will share more of these photos with you over the next week! Stay tuned and thank you for your support, together we are making a difference!

The “Trauma Room” is a quiet and calm place of healing and safety for young girls that have been through traumatic experiences. This room acts as the first place of safety when a girl comes to the Khaya Centre. ⠀ At the right time, the girl can then leave the trauma room behind, never to return. This symbolizes her leaving the pain in the past and beginning a beautiful mission of healing, happiness and a new life. ⠀ ⠀ We are elated to see Wayne Pinkstons photograph “Corona Night Sky” hanging on the serene blue walls of the “Trauma Room” at the Khaya Centre, adding a little more beauty in a crucial time. Today Paul and Ryan visited the Khaya Centre in Lehae. Lehae is very poor and full of crime. HIV is very prevalent in this area and the Khaya Centre gives these children a safe place, food, education, healthcare and spiritual guidance. This is Paul's account of their visit. "I truly can't overstate the experience we had today - the experience of feeding over 1000 hungry children is not one that will leave me soon. I expected more smiles at first, but what I saw was an intensity that was palpable. I thank God for the blessings we have living in the United States. Furthermore, I thank God that I have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of kids like these at Khaya Centre." Remember that our safari and African print sales go to support the Khaya Centre and other amazing charities in Africa. To get involved, visit the link in our bio!

An estimated 7.52 million are currently living with HIV/AIDs in South Africa. That’s the size of a large city in the U.S. Khaya Centre meets the needs of those affected. We will be at Khaya Centre next Friday to give a donation and photograph to aid in supporting them. Stay tuned for more updates of our trip to Khaya Centre!
